PRODUCER | WRITER | PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Sharlene Richards is an award-winning producer and writer from Syracuse, NY.
Sharlene is currently a television and digital media producer at WCNY-PBS, Central New York’s public broadcasting station, and serves as program coordinator for the Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program, where she helps young filmmakers develop their own projects for the big screen.
"I seek out opportunities to allow the art I make to serve others. I believe visual media is the greatest medium for connecting us to one another, and is the best shot we have in this world at communicating the inarticulate thoughts and emotions that shape our individual experiences."

She is a graduate from the SCAD Savannah College of Art & Design. She will start every sentence with the phrase "when I was in Savannah" if you let her. She's also a great cook and can get pretty wild with a spreadsheet.
